The curriculum covers essential topics such as obstetric care, newborn care, prenatal and postnatal health, family planning, and professional ethics. Students also receive hands-on experience in hospitals, clinics, and community health settings, where they gain practical skills in labor and delivery assistance, antenatal and postnatal care, and newborn care. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent, preferably with a focus on science subjects, and meet age and medical fitness requirements. Upon completion, graduates can pursue careers as midwives in hospitals, maternity homes, and community health settings. The program is accredited by the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC), ensuring that the education meets the national standards of healthcare and midwifery practice.
The requirement for Admission:
- To be eligible for the Diploma in Midwifery at Mahanagar Nursing College, applicants must have completed SSC with a minimum GPA of 3.5, preferably in science subjects. They must be between 17 to 30 years old and submit a medical certificate confirming fitness. An entrance exam or interview may be required. Relevant documents, including educational certificates, a character certificate, and photographs, must be submitted with the application.

- All the labs of our College are well equipped with modern instruments & Apparatus. Labs are Anatomy & Physiology, Midwifery, Nursing, Computer, Microbiology and Nutrition from which a student can acquire all kinds of practical knowledge.
